A BIG THANKS ESP FERMI natwest even offered me money!!

Would like to offer a big thank you to everyone that helps out on this forum x
I went bankcrupt in september 2011 and got discharged in september 2012. Without cleaning up my files i was approved for a catalogue account and also a vanquis credit card with a limit of £250. Vanquis have informed me this weekend that they are upping my limit to £500 already!.
I started at the end of january writing to my creditors using the template that fermi has kindly included on the forum. I had a phone call on friday from natwest of a gentleman appologising for my files not being updated sooner. He asked me if i had occured any charges from phone calls and writing letters? I told him no but he said because it had not been done he was going ti send me a cheque for £15.60! And my files would be updated and show partically settled. the money has quite surprised me! Has anyone had this before???? I did owe them sonething in the region of £30k
I also had a letter from next yesterday telling me that they have updated. When i run a report next has actually taken it off my credit file so its like i have never had credit from them which again i find strange!!!
But overall one big positive!!! I wish i never got myself into debt but going bankcrupt was the best thing i have done just wish i had done it sooner!!!

I found that many of my creditors removed their accounts from my credit files entirely as if I'd never had them, too. Strange, yes. Complaining? No!
