Financial Difficulties Pack

I am looking to extend my present mortgage with Barclay / Woolwich but have been asked to complete a Financial Difficulties pack - they assure me this will not have any effect on my present ( 100% ) credit rating and record - but I am not so sure - especially as every different person you speak to in Barclay comes up with a different answer.

Consumer scores have no bearing on how lenders will score you for credit.

Its running to end in July this year and I am just looking for a new deal - ironically nothing to do with financial difficulty - and the lady @ Barclays says they should rename it - but I am still wary of it.
