Scam website?

Wasn't sure which forum to post this is in so came here as its music related!

Ordered some hi fi equipment from https://www.spatial-online on the 4th, despatch was supposed to be next day so emailed on Friday querying this and they said they'll get on to the warehouse and get back to me. They didn't and still no reply. Concerned that it may be an auto reply email from a scam site. Anyone had any dealings with them?

You sure you've got the right address there? The only one I can find (.com) doesn't deal in Hi-Fi equipment.
  • They have a proper address (addresses?) and several local telephone numbers:
If you are already dealing with one of our stores, or would prefer to speak directly to your nearest dealer, then you can get in touch with us at one of the numbers below:

    Tottenham Court Road, London - 0207 637 8702

    Northwich - 01606 43691

    Newcastle Under Lyme - 01782 714 751

    Bury - 0161 764 1242

    Wigan - 01942 244 442
We are part of Craig Hi-Fi Limited, and our company number is 1283106.

Our registered company address is Craig Hi-FI Limited, Unit 7 Alpha Business Park, Travellers Close, Welham Green AL9 7NT

They're listed at Companies House and get a brief mention from Pioneer. So far the only (slightly) worrying thing I can dig up is that they've changed the name of their web-site several times.

Just because a website CLAIMS to be part of another legitimate company, doesn't mean they are.

I've reported several fake escrow sites recently, several of them stating that they were part of Paypoint Services Ltd (the company which allows you to pay your bills at a local shop) and quoting their registered number and address. I checked with the Company Secretary of Paypoint Services Ltd who confirmed that they were nothing to do with them at all.

I've also seen a fake car dealer website (targeting the distance buyer) using the company details of a legitimate car dealer.

I have no reason to believe this to be true in this case, but I simply want people to be aware of the problem.
