Hi everyone,
I wanted to cook a chinese themed meal for Chinese New Year tonight, and to be organised I had cooked and refrigerated some long grain rice on friday night for use today...was discussing this with a friend last night who seems to think you only have 24 hours to use it from the fridge! Confused as i really dont want to waste it, so i thought i would ask the most knowlegable people i can think of!!!:)
TIA

If you chilled it quickly after cooking it should be fine. After all the pre cooked rice in supermarket chiller cabinets does not have a short shelf life.Truth always poses doubts & questions. Yes it's the chilling quickly after cooking that matters....I rinse in cold water to cool it, before sticking it in the fridge.0
