hi can anyone help me please.
i pay for my daughter csa as she went on to further education, but i have found out via facebook that she has graduated and her status says studied at ..... .
i am not certain if this means she has left college or not.

Do you have contact with your daughter? Do you know whether she will be moving onto another course or a job? how old is she?0

sorry not in touch with daughter so don,t know about other courses (only that her status states studied which implies finished)
she is working in a bar and she is 18.0 -
It says studied rather than studying as default on facebook unless you change it0

Does she respond to FB messages? Perhaps she would like to hear from you?0

At 18 she could still go on to do a course or training that may fall in line with the guidelines which still hold you liable to continue with your support payments. As you do not have contact with her you can only guess. The best thing for you to do would be to contact the csa and ask for a reassessment based on the fact you believe that she has completed her course and is now working. I assume you are paying through the csa?
Use this page as a guide http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/remanual/re1198.htm although when the csa system changes you will be responsible for your child until the age of 20 not 19.0 -
Instead of stalking your daughter on FB, why not contact her and try and build up a relationship?SPC #1813

hello barmyarmy i have am ex that sounds very much like
yours!! I do admit that i take a look at my kids facebook now and then just to see what they look like and that they are ok,
It would be more than my life's worth to try and make contact, as she would cause me no end of trouble, On this site there are a few people who think that a P.W.C. can do no wrong and its mostly down to the N.R.P. I know that there are good and bad in both parties so you should just read between the lines,
Hopefully i am due to move house shortly which when i do i am expecting alot of hassle, The house that i am in at the moment i bought after we split up, but because the CSA allow my mortgage payment in the assesment as i am on CSA1 then my ex thinks that the house belongs to her!! as her maintenance what she should be getting is being used to pay the mortgage on my property "that's her words!" So when i move it will start again as i expect my payments will drop, I am on CSA1 and should of only had to pay until Jan next year, but i now have another year on top of that, I know that my ex won't allow my son to leave education as she has stated to a mutual friend if he does he will have to pay me what i loose in maintenance and child benefit if he gets a job, well i pay her £380 amonth, role on Jan 2015!!0
