Bridal dress shop recommendations Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire?

Options
Hi all,

Can anyone recommend dress shops in derbyshire / Nottinghamshire? Would like to find a dress under £500 but can go up to £1000 for the perfect dress ;) am also looking on eBay etc bit no luck yet.
Just want somewhere friendly and good, phoned the bridal rooms at chesterfield co-op and the woman was sooo snooty on the phone I didn't even dare make an appointment!

Any help greatly appreciated :-)

I can't do under £500 sorry but I recommend the Bridal Suite in West Bridgford, they're lovely and definitely within your budget. Dream Wedding Dress in Nottingham are also wonderful, but a bit higher prices x

  • The wedding dress factory outlet is amazing. I got married on the 26th January and had the most amazing dress from there and it was only £300. It was stunning and I had so many compliments on it. I would definitely check it out if I was you. It really is worth the journey x
  • I used beautiful brides in Nottingham city centre for my dress - they have a sale rack which is between £200 - £900 but the full prices are like £1000+. My own dress was £595 reduced from £1400 from there. Just be aware of the price of alterations on top. Karollanne in Nottingham is cheap, dresses are £200 - £500. Also there is a big outlet in Burbage, Leicestershire with dresses all £400 or so. Apparently the woman who owns new bride Nottingham has a derby store called something else which has more sizes and a decent sale every so often - worth a Google! HTH

My dress was from New York Bridal in Eckington. She's so lovely and helpful, doesn't do appointments (you just pop in) and no dress costs more than £500.

She only has what she has though in each size (i.e. can't order other sizes or colours) but she does have a massive range of sizes and styles.

Thanks for all your replies, not feeling so nervous about finding a dress now any more still much appreciated :T
  • Guys, looking at that wedding dress outlet centre http://weddingdress-factoryoutlet.co.uk/.. Is it worth a trip over from Ireland? I know fantastic seamstresses over here that could alter my dress if I bought one? I'm not engaged yet, but trying to be money concious..

I've heard good recommendations for this place too. I haven't been myself, I was put off by the website - ridiculous I know. Someone I know got their dress from their recently and said not to let the website put me off. The selection and variety in the actual shop was brilliant and they were really positive about the whole experience :)
