Has anyone done any training courses with this government-funded system? I'm particularly interested in the Business and Administration course.

Have you tried a search - am sure that v2l have been discussed at least a couple of times previously.
"Part P" is not, and has never been, an accredited electrical qualification. It is a Building Regulation. No one can be "Part P qualified."

I did the business admin course, and it's very, very basic. It's also quite repetitive - it has different topics, each with its own assignment, and some questions were repeated for several assignments. The questions also can be badly worded - like one asked for 2 career pathways from your role but actually the answer was to find two different roles and their career pathways.
A level 2 is, in itself, only equivalent to GCSE so if you really need an entry level qualification it would probably be a good one to start with.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I'm currently doing it, alongside my degree (I get bored) and so far it seems like its comprehension based, read and repeat etc
But its free, its a qualification, and the timings seem very lax (a month until I have to submit assignment 1) so what more can you ask for?

The timings do get worse - you submit your first assignment by whatever date, then it takes 10 or so days to come back and they will make suggestions on how to change it. So then you have those corrections to do whilst trying to get in your next assignment for the next deadline. The corrections are thing like "section 2, question 12: have you thought about how your team members could help you to achieve this?" so point you in the right direction of what to think about rather than telling you the correct answer.I'm currently doing it, alongside my degree (I get bored) and so far it seems like its comprehension based, read and repeat etc

It's sometimes awkward when the question isn't asking what it says it's asking because it's a badly written question. For the question I said before - describe 2 career paths available to you - my feedback said something like "can you describe a career progression for a different industry?" and it was difficult to see how that feedback then related to the question. That's gotta be better than what my last tutor did, it was pass or fail, didn't even tell me why...alot of help there lol
I'm quite experienced in V2L courses, having done, well, all of them. And I feel that the Business Admin course has the most awkward questions but also a lot of "OMG are you really asking me that?!" type stupid questions.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209
