Adapting recipe for slow cooker

I really want to try and make this recipe but would like to make it in the slow cooker - do I need to change any part of the recipe or is it fine as it is?

Also which setting would I use and for how long?

Thanks
:D....It's nice to be nice.....:D

Perhaps the rice might not work in the slow cooker.

I'd do the rice when you got home while you were getting other things ready, it doesn't take long.

    Hi ya,

    The recipe sounds nice ...

I have never tried cooking rice in my slow cooker .... but after " googling " it ... it seems that you can ! ... Have a look at this link

    http://www.onedishdinners.com/2011/05/when-to-add-rice-to-the-slow-cooker-one-dish-dinners-tips-and-tricks.html

I personally would leave the recipe as it is ...

I only ever use the high setting on my slow cooker ( tesco own brand one ) ....

Looking at the recipe i would probably cook it on high for around 4 hours then add the rice to it ...

Sorry but i'm not sure if i have really been of much help to you ! :p

Let us know how you get on .

that recipe sounds lovely, I think I might try it myself :) I've a son who's crazy for Cajun seasoning :D

but imho chicken breast itself might be 'done to death' in a slow cooker

What's the longest you can leave chicken breast in a slow cooker on low for before they over cook?
