Looking for help pease

I would be grateful for any help/info thanks

I basically want to know if I am doing the comping thing right

I used to do competitions on this forum a few months back but I think I went it it a bit too hard and sickened myself of it, I started again 2 or 3 days ago and what I have done is start from the end of the regular competions and started working from page 21 working towards the beginning and just entering competitions that were not locked and that I liked the look of...I think I am now up to page 9

So basically is this right?
What happens when you get to page 1 (do you ever get to page 1?) It is totally overwhelming the amount of competitions there are!!

So do I start working through the daily/weekly threads next?
Is the thread I am working on now the only 1 need to use?

How long does it take the "weathered" compers to complete the competitions that have been added each day if they were up to date yesterday?

I have marked all the competions I have entered with a red cross so I know where to start from the next time I come into the forum but they seem to go on for ever

Any help for the newbie would be appreciated...thanks

You'd be better using the green tick for those you've entered, thanking the poster by clicking the Thanks button is optional, but is a nice thing to do. The Red Cross can be used for those you're not interested in and marking how far you've got to with your entering.

Are you not entering any on the main board?

When I first started comping about 4-5 weeks ago I went through all 200+ pages of the main board, it took me about 2 weeks to go through them all and enter what I wanted to.

Then after that I went back to page 1 of the main board and caught up on all the comps that had been added the last few weeks.

Now I'm up to date on the main board!
Daily I go through the new comps added and start on the dailies/magazine entries.

I thought I was doing the main competitions? I told you I didn't have a clue what I was doing

So the regular bit I am working backwards through is not the main bit?
So where is that?

I did not realise the green tick thanked the person who posted the competition, I will certainly use that from now on, I was just leaving a mark for myself to see where I was up to.

So once I get to page 1 of the regular competitions then work through 200 pages of the main board (which will take me until Christmas :eek:) Then I just need to check the main board each day to enter any new competions that have been added since the last time I was there)

Is there a seperate thread for FaceBook/Twitter/magazines ect or are they all mixed in together?

There are no separate boards for Facebook or Twitter comps.

Its the thanks button for thanking :-)

The green tick on the right is a reminder that you have entered and will show in page view.



It does look slightly different nowadays but the idea is the same.Right hand side to record entry ,left hand side to thank the member.

I have got muddled up again, yes I see the one you mean the "thank you" one but I meant I was using the other one next to the cross to mark where I was up to...I am getting there slowly

Replies to posts should be viewable instantly.

Do you mean that you have replied to my post & it is not viewable ?
I'd not worry so much as to where you are "up to ".

You can the sift the post by end date & possible prize value so bumping/date posted becomes less of an issue.

Still use the thanks & entered ticks as they are great for stopping duplicate entries.
