Hi everyone

I've not been on here for a while (too much happening in the 'real' world) :eek:

My parents had a someone call from a company i've never heard of, so I thought I'd ask all you good people on here :A

The company is called The Utility Warehouse discount club - they made some pretty strong claims about saving money, giving the reason they are not on any of the price comparisons sites as a way of making even more savings for it's members
They also claim they don't have ANY literature, (other than a website), again, due to "Marketing costing money and they want to save their members the most money possible"

Anyone that knows about this, please let me know :T
I don't want to see them getting ripped off or into debt :eek:

couldn't tell you to be honest. But then I am not very good at spotting the scams. I am sure someone with a bit more experience will be here shortly.

they are a legit company, direct sales for utilities.
I would have a look on https://www.uswitch.com to see if they are actually any cheaper.

so she is a franchisee then, seems almost like pyramid selling. I would stick with well trusted sites like uswitch, or confused.com

It's not pyramid selling (that's illegal) but it is Multi-level marketing.
There is literature available as well-I've had booklets about their prices etc but to be honest, they didn't seem that cheap to me!

Yes they do have literature. I too have had the privilage of a meeting from a :manager:. It is like a club you buy into and for that you are supposed to get reduced rates on your utilities. I personally would not touch it witha barge pole. But everyone has to make up there own minds about it. They do actually spend quite a bit of money on their literature. They have a sort of newspaper of their own. With all the movers and shakers in the company. Think its a commision based type of job if you work for them.
