The post office, just the same as a normal tax disc.
I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

Yes, any Post Office that renews tax discs (not all of them do). You will need the V11 form, Certificate of Insurance (NOT the schedule), MOT certificate (if vehicle is over 3 years old) and your exemption certificate.

I have an exemption certificate, how do I obtain a free licence disc?

If you are in possession of the Vehicle Registration Document/Certificate (V5/V5C) you will be able to obtain your first free licence disc at a licence issuing Post Office®. If you do not have the V5/V5C, your first application will need to be made at a DVLA Local Office. You will need to send or take the following documents:

    Think its main PO.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

It is any Post Office that issued tax discs! I exepct that all main Post Offices do. However, not all sub-Post Offices do. The sub-Post Office in my village does, the one in the neighbouring village does not. There is no hard and fast rule.

You can search on the post office website and see which ones do the car tax - although I found it to be inaccurate as the local one that does was not listed!
  • If this is your first disabled tax disc you have to change the ven class on the log book plg to disabled this can be done at youe local road tax licensing centre. Look it up in yellow pages or yell.com. Take with you your Log Book DLA 404 form mot form and car insurance they will issue you with your first Disabled Tax Disc Log Book will be returned to you in the post and subsequent years you can then go to the Post Office that issues Road Tax for your convenience. Your DLA 404 form has 4 places on the back when full send back to Blackpool for them to issue a new form. Hope this Helps as i am a disabled road tax user
