Stock to be discontinued?

I am not sure if this is the correct place to post this type of thread - but basically I was wondering if anyone knows of a website, or database which we can check for when items will be discontinued,

Someone a few weeks ago posted that a range of deoderant was to stop production, and that they will possibly be sold off discounted - this happened, and Sure Crystal Minerals (Some varieties) were selling in most supermarkets at 1/4th the price - 50p a can.

This is of great advantage to savvy shoppers who want to shop - but not drop. I just have no idea where we would look, or if this information is only revealed to those who work in the supermaket industry.

Any help would be utterly fantastic.

it would also be useful to people who prefer a particular brand as they could stock up (even at full price) before it stops being produced. hope there is one, or perhaps we could start a thread and those in the know could post?

Thats a fab idea, I still have not been able to find anything.

Il ask around on social networks, and see what i can find there.

I managed to find this in regards to upcoming food promotions, so competitions on pack etc..
