A & L Premier account refused-what happens about mortgage now?

Hi,
Went for A&L mortgage becuase if you open up the Premier Account, you get a slightly better interest rate on your mortgage (4.99% at the time).
The mortgage has been approved but the account has beed refused! I dont understand why-neither I or my husband have debts or anything like that...
Im worried about the mortgage now-will i have to go onto a 'normal' mortgage, therefore paying the higher interest rate-im assuming i dont qualify for the premier account anymore.
I will ring them in the morning to ask why they refused it, but wanted some advice/information re why they might have refused.
thanks

Look at the positive side of things, you have got the mortgage.
For some reason only known to A&L you have failed their criteria.

Cheers-its funny i was saying to someone earlier that if you think things are bad for you, its always worse for someone else.
i just dont want to pay the higher interest rate as i dont think we can afford it-4.99% is a good deal and i dont want to lose it on the basis that i cant get an account!Respond to every call that excites your spirit.0
