Scottish Decree - Any Way Back?

Hi Guy's,
I'm new to the forum but visited it for years and always seem to get some great advice.
I currently have a decree over me for a debt which does not actually belong to me. The issue is it was taken out in early 2012 and I am unsure if there is anything I can do ..
The problem arose when a contractor done some work on a piece of equipment at a business belonging to a relative. The company was not limited and the invoices were made out F.A.O Me + the company name
I left working for the business not long after and had nothing to do with it ever since. In the mean time the company took legal action against me and had the docs etc delivered to my old workplace which (1) I was no longer at (2) operated by a new tennant ltd company
One day I was in the store when one of my old workmates told me that some legal paperwork had been sent to me and he signed for it. They inturn just put it in the bin and forgot about it.
After a couple of weeks i managed to track down the company who took me to court and they said should still pay it or I would be taken to bankruptcy court.
They also had another bill which they are taking me to court for which I am defending and have all the proof that I was only ever a worker and letters, docs etc from the owner to prove this.
My current lawyer has never given me a straight answer about how I can deal with this first one, every time i mention it he says we will deal with it later.
Does anyone know if I can take this back to court with evidence and the fact I knew nothing about it and ask to have it reheard or is it a case that i'm just going to have to try and find 4k+ to pay something I don't owe and know nothing about.
Thanks
