Hi there, I was wondering what would you do if you were getting redundancy with compensation that will pay all of your DMP (and still money left for another year without job)
I am in this situation and not sure what would be the best way forward thus asking your opinion please...
PS; I sent this post last night to old DMP threat, dont know how to delete it from there....Don't forget smiling:):)

After 5 years, where has the time gone! Best thing we ever did was that initial call to Payplan.
Don't struggle on trying to keep your head above water, the DMP is the way forward.
Good luck everyone.

Well done CELT on paying off all your debts! Be a few more years for us.
It feels like one step forward and two steps back at the moment. Why is it that every month something crops up that requires money to sort out? I seem to lurch from one pay day to the next. OH went to get some treatment on a trapped nerve thinking works health insurance would cover it but they said no, and then he received a letter from the police to say he was caught speeding and has to go on a course which is going to cost £85. Yes I know he was a naughty boy and shouldn't have been speeding and got what he deserved but another unexpected bill to pay. Sigh.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Hi all,
Not been very well for a few days so not much to post about other than moan about my health, not going to do that.
Otherwise so quiet on the DMP front it's scary 👹
My dh is fairly busy which is good and one way or another we are managing to stick to the DMP budget and manage to get along ok.
growurown I suspect like you we are not managing to save hardly anything to put to one side as an emergency fund but I guess it's early days. You are right there is always something. This month my youngest needs new trousers, I swear he has grown a foot in a few weeks, all my boys are over 6 ft so I guess he has a bit more to go!
On the plus side my fledgling business has moved forward very slightly and I have managed to add £80 to the pit myself this month.
Every little helps right :jStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Absolutely. OH's solution is to go on the five two diet which seems to be very popular at the moment. It's where you fast for two days in every week and then eat what you like for the other five. He reckons it will save money on our food bill:rotfl::rotfl:DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
