Evening all, I just wanted to sat to scared1, you've done so well tackling what you have. If you we're anything like me with credit just think that in the time guy have paid off what you have, I would have got into debt with that!!! A great achievement :T

Well we are in the limbo period! Sent all to step change fri and set up new account just waiting for cards then its adios HSBC..... Still In a state of confusion, unrest and wondering ' have we done the right thing'? It's not living to a budget that scares me because we've lived off hardly anything for a while its the creditor responses as I've never paid a bill late in my life, how I don't know with all the outgoings! I can't help that worry with 14 creditors and nearly 70k in debt we are in for a Rocky ride :((((

    Must think positive

    Hey Jenster,

I understand your worry...they will all be fine and as long as you are offering what you can afford in my experince they accept. Then light at the end of the tunnel begins. I started doing loads of car booting to get a bit extra and selling on ebay to begin with. Signed up for things like quidco and looked on here at the vouchers etc when it came to xmas shopping etc...you manage...not every day is wonderful but at least you are in the solution and one step nearer to being debt free...
  • Morning all

All ok here. Things ticking along. Hopefully into my last year. Had increase in car payments so slowed my ability to overpay but at least no worries about unexpected car bills. Just paid a few extra quid to get Hellifax under 1k, that's the next card I am targeting. just had my first holiday in 5 years, was well ready for it and much needed :)

finally some good news on the Aqua front - they have finally issued a default frozen interest and passed the debt to a DCA - so no more interest of £90 odd being added a month to my totals - amazing what a threat of a letter to FSA does ;)

now I can start making some headway into these figures!

    Hope everyone's doing ok!

they have been my worst company to deal with - ended up complaining about harassment from them when they were foning up to 3 times a day and had a request for writing only and got a cheque from them as an apology, just so glad they have finally jumped and put the wheels in motion so the interest got frozen...

just be firm with them and don't let them bully you - totally unprofessional company. Good luck!

I don't owe them a huge amount and luckily I've not had any phone calls, just letters telling me I'm over my limit, which I'm very aware of, but if they stopped adding interest and charges, then I wouldn't be! StepChange have requested they freeze everything, which has been ignored at the moment, so I've just recently sent a letter myself asking if they'll freeze all interest and charges.
