Thanks Catandy, going to go for it I think. We've only got one creditor that hasn't completely reduced interest so I am going to try that one first.Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Has anyone had a solicitors letter arrive through the post?
I can see they are part of the lloyds group who i owe the debt to on a credit card..
I've had some strongly worded (and quite frankly scary sounding) letters due my Lloyds debts while I've been on my DMP. Be guided by Stepchange on these types of things. While you're paying they're extremely unlikely to follow through with threats, so as unsettling as it try not to worry.
Hi thanks for putting my mind at rest, and also to the other posters who replied to my post.
The company was SCM, on this basis i will ignore the letter.
I was unable to use computer over weekend so apologies for not replying sooner to you guys0 -
Does anyone have ay experience with LLoydstsb? Out of all the banks we owe money to they are not playing ball at all. They keep sending my letters back to me telling me to phone. When I phone they say I have to send the letters to a different office, same po box etc. I have done this twice (ie send the info to a different office) and have had the same letter back from them twice !!!
I did our calculations for the month. Payplan worked out we had nothing left after essentials to pay debts.
They are right, we still have a shortfall to pay for essentials. But having everyone else off our backs makes sleeping at night a lot easier.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Sorry I can't really help with your Lloyds query Poohbear as I am with Black Horse that is part of LLoyds but they don't seem to have been such a problem with me, however your issues sound like I am having with the Co-op and yet others say have good they are.
I'd be inclined to perhaps send a letter of complaint this time outlining the issues and then given them 8 weeks to comply before taking it up with FOS.
The only reason I haven't bothered with mine is I started down my IVA route today so my DMP is probably about to be phased out (hopefully and everything crossed!)
Good luck with it all and to everyone else who has posted and are having problems. Congrats to those that have also had some small successes as well.

Yes I have experience with Lloyds and unfortunately they've turned out to be my worst creditor. I wrote to them saying that I wished to communicate by letter and screened their calls. Eventually I managed to get them to remove my number from their records. I'm was on a DMP at the time (still am) so I kept repeating the factual info in my letters and also asked my DMP company to contact them.
The previous suggestion about the FOS is a good one. Perhaps write to them this one last time informing them that you'll be contacting the FOS if they don't start playing ball. When I contacted the FOS things suddenly moved and Lloyds finally froze my interest. I even got all the interest which had been added to my loan since the start of my DMP refunded towards my debt.
Good luck!0 -
Called Step Change today to sort out my July payment. Car goes in tomorrow and we have been quoted nearly £300 for the work that needs doing, plus the MOT is due so there may be other things that need to be fixed. So all in all not sure how much the total bill is going to be. Anyway SC have agreed to not take our D/D until the 10th so I can notify them next week of the damage. I will contact the creditors to let them know but I am expecting a flurry of nasty letters.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

So, after 6 months of going through the sale process of a no chain flat, we finally exchanged today!!! Wooo!!! Just completion to do Friday...
My advice is never ever sell a flat!
After the excitement of changing addresses is over, the Full and Finals will begin, and despite my concerns about Aunt Twitty's F&F hardliner advice, I'm gonna have to consider starting low....
Hope everyone is doing ok.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Congratulations on the house sale ianmak and good luck with the F&F process, I hope it goes ok for you.
Selling can be a really slow sometimes (unless your mortgage company does it for you)

Hopefully it will be good news and the MOT won't be as bad as you are expecting GUO, although I think we always tend to think worst case scenario out of habit. Good luck with the creditors, if SC are happy to stop a payment for the month should you not be able to afford it, hopefully there won't be a flurry of nasty letters as long as they are aware of the situation.
My lot just got a reduced amount as part of the mortgage shortfall got added in, I haven't heard anything about that so far and they still cashed the payments at a lower rate. Still time yet I guess.
