Im not sure this is in the right area but I am sure that someone will help!
My wife has a LTSB credit card, which is currently held in collections! We are trying slowly to pay this off with a DMP.
For the last six months we have had argueements with them, mainly about myself having third party access. Which I am currently taking to the FSA.
However in January we noted that we had not recieved a statement, so we contacted them. Having moved to Asia two years ago, I am sure we informed them of the change of address. But they were still sending statements to the old address.
To change the address fully we have to visit a branch (unlikely in the next six months) so we gave them a temporary address and requested a three month statement. (Jan 16)
I contacted them again a week later to ensure that the statement had been ordered, and it hadnt, so I re-ordered it. The address they had was still our old address! So it was changed again.
30 Jan I phoned again! Yet again the statement had been sent to our corrispondant address (old house) so again i reordered it....... I agreed compensation of £200.00 but then asked if we could put that onto the card to reduce the balance. I was then put on hold and transfered to customer services, to be told this was waiting for a handler and they couldnt agree with any compensation until reviewed.
Yesturday I spoke to them, low and behold they address they have is our new one, but the statements are being sent to our old adddress.
I give up...but having told them we no longer live at our old address three times is there anything we can do with the data protection act? They have twice sent the requested statement to our old address.
Thanks
Pete
