Credit file clean up

Hi, I have left this far too long I know. I went BR 20/02/09 and got discharged after a year. I looked at my credit report today and have seen that I have got 4 CCJs listed as active, all from 2007, I also have a HP from a car from Lloyds Tsb Asset Finance which I purchased in 2004 and have not had any contact with since 2005 yet it is saying the default date is 01/07/09, finally I have an Orange contract that says I defaulted 10/11/08 but I know the last time I paid that was many months if not years before.
I have moved house and I cannot for the life of me find any paperwork on the BR eg discharge letter copy of the pertition etc. Is it possible to get hold of these to make sure I included them (Im sure I did) and if not will it not be statute barred after 8 years? They are posting defaults still every month.
1 last thing, I have another Orange contract listed at another previous address, I think it was 1 I put on Virgin tarriff that hasn't been used for years and cant remember the number, how can I get this contract closed?
Many thanks and sorry for all the questions!

Hi there I have recently been getting my credit files sorted also, and I went bankrupt in 2008. It’s never too late to sort out. I found it relatively easy to get sorted I signed up with noddle, which is basically your call credit report and also sent off for my Experian file and Equifax file, it was the same companies every time who were not updating the files correctly.
I phoned the official receiver who I dealt with during bankruptcy who was more than helpful. So I would suggest you make that your first port off call, to get the evidence you might need. Then try contacting each company and requesting that they mark the files correctly (the sticky on this site will tell you exactly what must be there)
I had different success with each; one company actually changed my record with out me having to send them anything. Others I had to go through 3 different companies and send of letters and a copy of my discharge papers. You then must give them 28days to change their entries. I think then but am not sure its good to contact the credit ref agencies directly and then the banking ombudsman.
Regarding the mobile with orange I haven’t a clue.....: p
But anyway all the best......:beer:Norn Iron Club No:468

Hi, just another quick question if someone can help please. I called the court about a ccj to see who it was for, it was for car finance from Blackhorse/Lloyds, the lady did say she wouldn't bother chasing them as it will drop off my credit report in October when it is 6 years old. I will still chase this up as they are still putting defaults on my credit file. My question is that they are not allowed to after going BR are they and also I have 3 more which will in theory drop off this month, March and June so is it worth chasing those as will they be dropped off before they get resolved? Many thanks.0
