Why not market your property at a competitive price to sell it quickly?

Paying interest will cost you money in any event.

Don't think you will need bridging. Clydesdale have a decent Offset product with no tie ins so you can overpay as much as you want and pay off early but there processing can be a bit of a nightmare. You probably want to remortgage your current property and look for a lender who will offer a fee valuation and free legal work for an unencumbered property re-mortgage. Not all offer this tho as some consider an unencumbered (mortgage free) property remortgage as a purchase case. A broker will be able to keep you right. Best of luck

Thanks for all your helpful comments. I plan to read more and look around. HBOS lady mentioned that my being self employed for only 2.5years could be an issue, 3 years would be ok. I couldn't remember :o dates when I saw her so we assumed 3 years-I was salaried same place previously. I'll let her know but as suggested will look around.

What's best www site to find a broker locally (fife)? I don't know anyone likely to give me a word of mouth recommendation.

I think this is the site MSE say to use. If you would like to PM me I know Fife based broker. I don't think I am allowed to tout for business here.

If using unbiased, switch off the "sponsored ads only" option, so you get a full list for your area, not just the ones who pay.
