Free Vote

The polling stations are open till 10pm today and voting is FREE. Previosu generations struggled to gain this right. It's criminal not to use it - even if you want to spoil your vote.

"The price of freedom is eternal vigilance" so damn cheap. Get along there NOW and do your democratic thing

I think its up to the individual to choose whether they want to vote or not, thats why are a free society and thus exercise that right to choose.

Politicians dont make it easy for use to want to vote, partly due to apathy and partly due to sleaze and spin that labour are so famous for, but then it the Tories are as bad, and I wouldn't trust there leader anymore than Blair either, but that's my view.

I haven't voted because I didnt get my postal vote sent to my address, having just moved in Feb, the mail gets forward but for some reason it never came to my old house to forward to where I am now just up the road

You're not charged anything to vote = freebie.

Agree it's people's prerogative how they use this valuable privilege. I personally favour the Aussie model where it's a duty and you can be fined if you don't

If you agree its our prerogative to vote yet you favour Aussies model where we get fined surely thats contradictory.

I like to bring some laws out where spin isn't allowed, Politicians are personally accountable if they don't carry out what they said in there manifesto, but the 1st law would be no more new laws until all laws are then enforced.

Voting is not free. It has cost many lives.

Therefore it is important that you use your vote.

You do not need to take your Polling Card with you in order to vote. As long as you are registered to vote you can still do so by telling the Teller who you are and where you live.

I've just been to vote and was shocked to find the polling station deserted! Everyone loves to moan and complain about their councils, but if you don't vote, you shouldn't complain about what they do!

most important thing on this board today,

I went with Dw,dd and ds on a walk to polling station and voted in two seperate elections.

Unfortunately choice in second election was between Conservative, UKIP and an sitting independent, who does not believe in Disabled rights, so no real choice!

Spoiled the ballot paper by writing no choice as is my prerogative.

The point is I attended and voted or spoiled the paper, and I feel coming from a long line of Scottish working class socialists, that I have lots of people in my family history to be grateful to for that right.
