Urgent Help Please

I'm stuck between a rock and a very very hard place.

I have lost all details of who i owe money too after they have kept changing from one debt collection agency to the other that i don't know who i owe, and to whom. I now have a bailiff calling collecting an amount for HSBC. I'm trying to fill in the court form but cannot afford the £35 charge until the end of the month.

I know i need to go bankrupt but cannot even afford the court fees to get this done even though i have a fairly good job money just comes into the bank account and then straight back out again in rent and just general living expenses.

I just don't know what to do anymore and am getting more and more worried about everything i just don't know where to turn.

Don't panic, number 1! Easy to say, I know..

A few questions to help us help?

    - have you asked anyone for help (citizens advice etc)
    - do you have a credit card that will work to get a free online copy of your credit report? (you cancel after a week and you don't have anything to pay, it's just to get it in the first place.) This will identify who your creditors are, I think.
    - do you have an idea of how much you owe in total?
    - what's your income and what are your bills excluding debt repayment, each month or week?

Deep breath. There'll be a way to help.

try here for a free credit report. It says no card required.

    http://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk/

Your first priories are roof, food, heat and light. I suggest beginning by opening a new basic bank acount, getting your wages paid in there, and paying only these priority bills out of it.

How much do you have coming in?

We need to know how much you owe, to whom and what the APR is. With loans, when they finish as well. For instance

Bloggs and co Car Payment Total value £4,000 monthly 240.00 APR 19.9%.

Finally can you just slip over to https://www.entitledto.com and put in your salary, housing and Council tax details, to mmake sure you are getting what is owed to you.

The reason I ask is that if there's enough for, say, a fiver a month to each creditor, a debt management plan is an option (from which you could progress to bankruptcy if it proved unmanageable). So the difference between you having an income of, say £1800 net, and £2000 net, can make a difference to the options available to you.

You've mentioned chool uniform so I'm assuming you have kids. Have you checked all the working parent benefits available on entitledto.com?
