I always thought if you had CPD that the option would not be their to apply.

Otherwise you could just apply in the normal way.

  • Hi guys, well, well well. I phoned up and firstly asked if there were any offers on my account. They said I have an credit card offer. I wasn't going to go through with the application but I did because I thought, the offer would be gone and wouldn't come back.

They said I have no offers for a loan but a CPD for a loan, but for a credit card. I am good to go.

Applied for it, asked what kind of limit I wanted, asked for £2000 because sick of the crap small limits I'm getting. Application went through fine, choose the Duo Avios/premier card with an INITIAL limit of £500? = Does this mean the limit will be £500 or it could be anything?

Just got to sign the form. That's it.

Needed a loan for a new car but looks like I won't be getting one, for awhile anyway. I'll do without.

Lloyds looks like a good bank, think I'll move everything over to them from HSBC. HSBC seem to bloody strict.
£1600 saved in bank, target 20K by 1st march 2014.

Is that a low limit compared to what they would normally offer or is it the norm for lloyds?

Probably not the norm....but possibly due to lack of account history with Lloyds or negative info from CRA.

At least you are not CPD 99 where no lending products are available and your CPD on loans can change so next month you may be eligable for a loan.
  • Yeah I am thankful there is no CPD99 on my account but a little disappointed that they've only gave me £500 because I wanted to get out of these LOW PRIME CC'S and get a decent card, with a decent limit.

I guess you never know, 6 months in, they'll probably bump it up to £1200 or even more...
