Interesting Article about the kind of people welcomed into the BPA

Comments

  • Usual lack of research by the journalist, using terms such as "fine", "illegally parked", "legally registered parking ticketer" (what's one of them?), "using their BPA membership to enforce fines" (how does that enable enforcement rather than the usuall harrassment?).

As Diana Johnson MP is interested in this topic, has anyone brought to her attention how the BPA blatently lied to Parliament in order to get their sordid Schedule 4 through?

The BPA again through twitter has washed it hands of the situation, more people shoud be questioning them
    For everthing else there's mastercard.
    For clampers there's Barclaycard.

    The articlecontains the following extract
"Judge Robert Moore told Del Grosso he deserved prison for the offence of racially aggravated assault.

But he said he believed 250 hours of unpaid work in the community would be more humiliating for him. "

I think that, with this Forum's help along with pepipoo and others, it ought to be possible to add to his 250 hours of unpaid work by ensuring that the advice not to pay PPC tickets is repeated far and wide.

Worth keeping an eye on and anyone in that area may want to write to the MP to add their weight to the argument against this crim being allowed access to data. In fact any of us could write to our MPs citing this article and demanding to know why all the ex-clamper thick-necked and thickasshit bullyboys are being allowed our name/address data to match to our cars?

This is an excuse for a 'man' who said 'I know where you live' to the victim he racially abused...and so the BPA & DVLA think it's OK to give him the details of where lots of other potential victims live. What next, our mother's maiden name and PIN numbers being given to Bank fraudsters?!

You couldn't make it up!

How can the BPA proudly say that his last firm wasn't a member of the AOS but the new firm - suddenly and easily - are? That's the wrong way round, shows exactly the lack of checks undertaken - and we know from the sheer number of new firms on the AOS list that ex-clampers have jumped on the ticketing bandwagon in their droves.

Be interesting to know how many were in the AOS scheme a year ago compared to now - I would guess the list has multiplied by 4 or 5 times since clamping was banned!

Appalling state of affairs when reported crims can so easily get access to names and addresses at will. They wouldn't have such unfettered access in any other environment.

The British Parasite Association should be ashamed of themselves in carrying out such an apparently minimalistic approach to vetting of potential members. One of their criteria must encompass criminal convictions, surely? The USA most certainly wouldn't allow this individual to cross their borders with such a record, without the most severe of interrogations!

What confidence can the motorist have in the BPA system? :(
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The local MP has now raised this matter in the Commons:-

    http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/Hull-MP-raises-Del-Grosso-conviction-concerns/story-18088447-detail/story.html#axzz2KINMC3CJ

I see the paper is still using the "f" word.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • I'll forgive them this slip if the MP succeeds in getting something done about him(and others)
