Postal Competitions?

Hiya
Just wondering what everyones views on postal comps are?
I can't for love nor money find any postcards ANYWHERE that aren't single "typical scenery" postcards. I'm sure years ago you could buy big packs of plain postcards :undecided
Anyway! Do you think if you entered using a small "greetings card" type thing in an envelope - it would be counted? Cos at this moment, it feels like that's all I can find haha!

You'd be better just to seal the envelope and use it as a card if they stipulate a postcard entry. A lot of people on here make their own cards I think.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

There's a shop in my town that sells blank postcards so I imagine you can still get them. When I used to do postals I either bought in bulk off of eBay (bit pricey now) or I used to get greetings cards on the cheap and cut them in half down the crease and use them instead.
I personally wouldn't use cards in envelopes, I know certain comp providers won't accept them, prolly because of the time and hassle in opening them up to get the details. Maybe writing on stuck down envelopes instead?
ETA - Google 'blank postcards'. That may help.Golly, I've got the newt pregnant...

You can find packs of plain ones in stationary shops but they are a little thin. I make my own and use ones from the cinema that are free,
I have never won from a postal, but one of my friends won £1000 B&Q vouchers from one. Good luck x
(Oh btw - she used a plain thin white postcard!)Wishing you all good luck!

You can buy blank postcards on Ebay, but you could recycle old birthday cards, Christmas cards etc.0

Or ebay sell plain postcards but never put anything into an envelope. As Sue says if you are stick then seal an envelope and wrote that as a postcard£2 Savers Club for 2022 #120

great ideas - thanks guys!
i normally just do online comps, but i've come across a few in magazines that are postal only with great prizes, so thinking that a lot of people don't bother - it seems like a "why not" situation0 -
I buy blank postcards in Rymans, can't find anywhere else that sells them!StayHome * StaySafe * BeKind0

Do you have an Odeon near you?
Whenever i'm in there i always stock up on postcards and get my friends to help me too lol. I've still got loads from when i was last in there 4 months ago. I must look so dodgy on CCTV stuffing all these postcards into my bag.
I've also purchased postcards from ebay and rymans in the past.
If i'm feeling adventurous, i may make my own from cardboard boxes.0 -
I buy blank postcards in packs of 50 for £1.79 from Rymans. They had them in WH Smith last time i looked but they must have been more expensive because i didn't buy them.
I'd estimate over 500 entries since I last won a postal.0 -
Assuming you get the postcards for free it still costs 50p for each 2nd class stamp so your costs can mount quickly if you enter many of them.
If you can get on the royal mail survey panel they reward you in stamps for posting/receiving items (12x1st class + 4xlarge 1st class stamps each month plus occasional presentation packs and love2shop vouchers)
