Cheap meals on a Friday lunch time East of Scotland

I was looking for some insperation. I am a care worker and myself and another carer take a lady out for lunch every friday.

We have access to a car and she really enjoys going for a drive.

We are in East Lothian but are looking for somewhere up to an hour and a half drive away. We often go to the harvester in Dunfermile and to Galashields, Biggar and Livingston.

running out of ideas and cost is an obsitcal, 2 meals for£10 or similar offer would be great. Need to get parked very close as she has walking difficulties.

Any ideas?

  • What about the Crown Carvery in Ratho Park?

They have parking outside and the carvery meal is £3.69 each
Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.
  • Not sure what age your lady is so apologies if this isn't relevant however Dobbies garden centre restaurants often have a specific day where they have senior citizen meals for around the £5/£6 mark. Generally soup, main course, hot pudding and tea. May not be an every week thing but nice for a treat say once a month.
