I normally buy from tesco or asda but got a nice bottle of orange high juice from lidl for £1.09 for 1 litre which tastes very nice but still quite pricey and Lidl is not really local to me anyway.
I used to love robinsons squash as a child, why did they have to start adding all the nasty sweeteners to it, surely it's our choice if we want sugar! After giving up a diet coke addiction I cannot stand the taste of anything with artificial sweeteners in yuck!
TIA
Ok just looked online and seen regular robinsons varieties on tesco, they never seem to be on the shelves though??
Not brought Robinson's for an age - I think even their regular stuff has asparatame in it ..... so check before getting excited re online regular stuff.
Sorry I am 30m round trip from supermarkets so can't double check for you but maybe someone else can (or has checked recently) but I am pretty sure all their stuff has it in ...:(0 -
By the way - lovely to see people on here also bothered about this topic - my view is I know what sugar does and can limit exposure to my kids. But asparatame very dangerous stuff - my kids are trained to look - so much harder if out socially. Hopefully this thread will grow...0

I enjoy Bottle Green cordials, as with Rocks they are not cheap, but a nice treat.0

You could always make your own, most cordials are very quick & easy to make & you would know exactly what has gone into them.
If you can get to a greengrocers or market then you should be able to negotiate a deal on a bulk purchase of fruit to make them if you wanted to make a lot.
There is a basic orange squash recipe here to show how simple it is to make.

Bottle green here too - or make my own - rhubarb is DS's and mines favourite. Rather have sugar than some nasty sweetener any dayPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Do you know what I think you are right, I knew there was a reason I didn't buy the regular stuff anymore, why does a drink need sugar AND sweeteners?! Crazy.
Thank you for all of the replies, looks like I will stick to the high juice for now, glad I am not the only one against the evil sweeteners!0 -
I actually can't stand the taste if I inadvertently buy something with sweetners in, such a nasty bitter over-sweetness. Give me sugar any day!0

Thanks for that, I didn't know that. I have had their hi juice before and it is quite nice. I shall have to go and have a look at what others they've got - I try to avoid aspartame as much as possible due to a health condition I have. The more I read about it, the more I don't want it in anything we consume.
I usually buy Aldi hi juice. I like the apple one and also the blackcurrant, and I think they do an orange one too. Think it is about £1.19 for 1L. I also find that with hi juice that I can drink it a lot weaker than other juice, sometimes I have it just with a hint of flavour.0 -
Yep. I'd rather have sugar than chemicals. Aldi and Lidl hi juice are about £1.10 a litre but my boys like the apple and red fruits one. Morrisons used tot do a pear, apple and elderflower. Taht was nice.0
