...A faulty prize!

I posted on here a while back with my first real win - a DVD. I've come to play it and its freezing, i've tried it on a couple of players but the same thing keeps happening!

This is just my luck...finally win something and it doesn't work!!
Has anyone else ever had this problem?!

Even a free gift or prize must be of merchantable quality and you are entitled to repair or replacement from the company supplying.

E-mail the company that you won it from. You might feel cheeky as it was a freebie, but a faulty prize isn't what they advertised. You are entitled to a working DVD. Let us know how you get on.

Thanks you're all right, i wouldn't be as laid back if i had paid for it - i need to get my consumers rights head on here! I will send them an e-mail (although its channel five so will probably lost in the system for weeks!)

give it a go. i would have put it in the bin a few years ago :eek: :eek: but now I try not to be wastfull

Ive never had that problem - just contact the prize promotoer and explain whats happened - they should exchange it for you or send you something else - you never know it might be worth more!
