The endowment has matured.
There is a gap of approximately one month to 6 weeks between receiving the endowment money and paying off the mortgage.
Where is the best place to put that money inbetween times?

Why not simply pay the mortgage off now and save the last few weeks' interest?I am a mortgage broker. +1. For such a short term you are unlikely to find anything else with a better return and lower risk0 -
Thank you; best check that there's no hidden penalty in paying it off "early".0

If you are out of any fixed, discount or short-term tracker period, there should be no early repayment penalty.
Check for that and for the need to give notice. Some lenders still have that.
Finally, check the discharge fee payable at redemption. It should be whatever you accepted at the time of applying for the mortgage, or the lest time you accepted a new product.I am a mortgage broker.
