L&G pension...

hi all,
i have an L&G pension, with online access, ive been paying in for years... just noticed over the past few weeks/months that it seems to have jumped up quiet considerably (compared to how it use to move)
has something happend in the 'market' recently for it to be jumping or do pensions work on a 'snowball' basis like mortgages and the more you put in the more it jumps?

There has been a small growth spurt in the last few months.

No. You get the performance of the underlying investments. You get short term periods of growth and loss and you need to average them out of the term. This is why you are always told to continue paying through bad periods as those investments you buy cheaper in bad times (after a drop) are the ones that go on to make the most when the growth periods come.
