I have asked SL this question and they have informed me that I cannot add to it.

If you're in the SL WP with 4% guarantee that's pretty solid.

But the point is, it all depends what your age, attitude to risk and capacity for loss is.

If you can afford to lose money and you have a moderate-to-speculative ATR then it's probably not the best fund for you.

I am in the WP Pension fund too, with guaranteed 4% growth.

This is far better than any cash deposits in my SIPP.

I cannot access until NRD of 60 unless I am happy to suffer
a MVR (Market Value Reduction) of around 29%... ouch!!

I did wonder though if Std Life would not prefer to just let me off without that MVR, in exchange for their commitment to guarantee the very generous 4% over a number of years.... ;) ?
THE NUMBER is how much you need to live comfortably: very IMPORTANT as part 1 of Retirement Planning. (Average response to my thread is £26k pa)

I think I will leave the 'pension with profits' fund alone with the 4%, but in my case I think I need to do something with the 'millennium fund' as this fund is behind inflation.
Any suggestions as to what to move it into with SL
  • I have 5 funds @ SL can i move the non -with proft funds away - or do i have to move the whole lost if i want to change ???
