Good morning people, newbies and old timers!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free.

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging the washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important:

Today I will be:

- updating spreadsheet and checking online banking
- trying for a NSD except mystery shop expenses
- going to the bank to take in this week's takings
- sending everyone off to school/work with packed lunches
- ringing the court to see if I have a date yet for bank charge claim

Have a good day everyone x

    Good morning all,

OK I'm running out of ideas on where to save money - does that mean I've cut down on everything? I wish ......

    OK so today I have/will
    - check online banking to make sure everything is covered there
    - do piggy comps and clicks
    - pay poll tax and water rates to make sure I keep on top of them

    I think that's about it.

Hope everone has a good day x

Today I will be going to the cinema on my £10.99 a month cinema pass (a single ticket costs £8.50, so quite a good saving if you go regularly) and instead of buying cinema snack at extortionate prices, I am going to buy a bag of tortilla chips (19p sainsbury's) and jar of salsa (69p). Yum!

I sent a letter to Payplan in a work envelope. Yoink!

I feel guilty to say it, but I sent a letter in a work envelope through the post room without putting a stamp on it.

The little thing I do every day - cycle to work, Croydon to Euston.

Packed a lunch today, ham and Emmenthal with pickle.

*Bought my husband a PAYG SIM card now that he's cancelled his £25 a month contract and he's limited to £10 a month maximum!

    evening all,

    today I have:

taken packed lunch to work rather than eating at pizza hut with client.

sent e-card to friend instead of buying and posting one (kinder for environment too).

set breadmaker going for supper rather than dashing to shop for bread.

plan to spend evening stripping wallpaper in attempt to get bedroom decorated (not long ago I would've paid someone to do this  ).
