Moving areas, will I be intentially homeless?

Currently wanting to move closer to family in a different area.
Staying in a council referred flat just now on a monthly tenancy. From what I can make out if I move then I will be regarded as intentionally homeless, can't find a job but also want to move ASAP. If I gave notice from current place and moved what would likely happen if I went to new council, would they put me up, I can supply a doctors note.

you have no automatic right to be housed, but you will be entitled to apply for housing.
it would very much depend on if the new authority classes you as 'vulnerable'
you say you can get a doctors note ... for what reason?
the fact that you are moving to be near family may also count against you as you wouldnt be totally alone in an area, and there would be some assumption that family could help.
also, depending on the housing stock available ...
its quite likely that even if they decide to help, you could end up in a hostel or B&B for a long time0 -
The Shelter website has a good section on homelessness where it describes the council process for reviewing applications and what is defined as 'intentional homelessness' (leaving a property when you did not have to) and who is classed as a priority.
Can your family put you up until you find a job and save for a deposit?0 -

Family have stated they will 100% not put me up, I lived there a few years back and it went a bit foul. I am fine visiting them for the day or so but living just doesn't work.0 -
Okay, it is feasible for you to apply for jobs in that area and then move to take up a position? That way, it will be much easier to find accommodation when you are in paid employment and will cut down the stress of moving to a new area on a low income and feeling insecure about finding decent accommodation.
According to the info on the Shelter website, is it likely that you will be classed as intentionally homeless since you have given up your current accommodaiton of your own volition? And if not classed as IH, are you likely to be classed as vulnerable through disability or dependents or don't come into this category as a priority case for housing?0
