OK, Im up to court on the 22nd and I am worried about the official receiver.

In my previous thread I explained that my wages change from month to month and I am worried that the £2,500 Im earning next month will be taken from me so question is

What does the official receiver let you keep to live off?

Is there a certain amount you are allowed to keep for food, gas, clothing etc?

  • Have you spoke to any one of the debt charities for advice over this as they can normally advise what is likely to be acceptable on a SOA? They should also have advised what to put down as earnings seeing it is not a set amount each month.

You should work out an average and based your income on that... It is likely with your fluctuating income they will review your earnings each quarter.

How many are in your household? This will be taken in to consideration when working out what disposable income you have...

There's me my partner and my dog :-)

My partner doesn't work (recently lost her job) and I work part time. We can't claim job seekers because I earn over £12k a year so my wage must pay all the bills, the rent and feed 3 people.

How on earth do they expect that to happen!
  • The or wont touch your wages unless an ipa is agreed between them and yourselves and then only any wages earned after this will be taken into account.:)
