Best place to put lump sum. short term?

I will be retiring from my job on my 50th birthday in September.:j
I will actually be away on a pre booked holiday at that time.
Can anyone advise me where to stash the lump some ( about £109000 ) for short term AND be able to get at it easily, quickly, and without loss.
Then on my return from hols I can start to look at the best deals and ways of getting it invested, mortgage paid off Etc.
I'm totally useless at investments, hi gain this, isa that... so when I do return from my hols, that's what I will be sorting out ( with advice), its just the short term ( two weeks) thing I'm after as I don't think slapping it ( if that's the a proper financial phrase ) in my normal HSBC account will earn it much.
Any advice or telling's off much appreciated..
Thanks

That only leaves you with £106,000 to worry about.;)0 -
Yes, sorry I should have been more specific.
My wife and I are away on our 'I'm retiring' holiday when the money is actually paid out.
At this moment, I (we) only have a joint normal current bank account, no real savings, and not enough to invest or put into ISAs. ( what comes in, pays out with not much left, Daughter is at uni).
We intend to pay off the remaining mortgage, and clear a small loan.
We intend to clear all this up when we return from hols, about ten days after it is paid into whatever type of account you fine people advise.
So, I need an account that I can have a lump sum paid into, that will give much better interest than our current account with no risk, and that I can remove large amounts ( to me it's large!!) to other things (ISA, investment, Etc) without loss or penalty at short notice.
THEN we can start putting amounts into different ISAs Etc when we find the best deals after returning from our hol of a lifetime.:j
In other words,, Best deals for about two weeks that I can get at easily without penalty.
Why didn't I say that in the first place.
Thanks.

Some current accounts have quite good interest rates. If yours is one of them then why not just have it paid in there for the few days.0

Thank's for that. I will check to see if my lot are anywhere near, if not it's Icesave by the looks of it.
