Carry on paying endowment after mortgage repaid early?

I'm in the enviable position of having paid off my endowment mortgage 8 years early but don't know whether it's worth carrying on with the endownment payments until it matures in 8 years time, or would I be better off cashing it in and investing the money elsewhere?
