Just been offered my dream job at more money than I've ever earned.

Made redundant last year, been covering maternity cover very far from home, not covering costs, and now got full-time perm job much closer to home.

Its hard but keep trying! It will happen!

Thanks everyone! Have been popping on here to take advice and keep me on track.

Also now been told am through to the final stages of another application... just like buses its feast or famine!

Employers seem to be taking ages to make minds up at the moment. Applied for the job back in Nov... had writtenit off!

Also now an agency job has had phone interview, 2 hour face2face and now wants me to go in for 2-3 hours to meet HR, who I wont be working with!!

Will feel nice to be able to turn them down!

Keep going everyone!

I love the way people come here to boast about how they've landed the dream job, earning more money than ever and "it really could happen to you".

The harsh reality is that it almost certainly won't happen to many others. Sorry to put a dampner on it but thats the way it is.

Meanwhile the job hunting goes on and life without income gets harder by the day for many people.

Sorry if you see it as boasting, especially the bits about redundancy, taking any job that doesnt even cover costs, living off savings to keep going... yep, that is good stuff to boast about.
