Currys vouchers for replacement product

2 years ago we purchased an LG fridge from currys and took out their whateverhappens warranty - 1st time we ever had and glad we did now!!

It packed up weeks ago beyond repair and currys have now agreed to send us the full replacement amount in vouchers to buy a new one.

The problem we have is we have already purchased a new one as with 3 kids we couldnt wait any longer for them to mess us about and a local shop had an ex display model cheap.

Can we spend these vouchers on anything else in currys or just on a new fridge? .... still waiting on the vouchers arriving in the post 9 days later, to be told today they have never been sent due to a problem at the printing house

Hopefully the vouchers will be here in a couple of days, but we just wondered if anyone else has had replacement product vouchers from currys before and if you can only use them on certain products or for anything in store?

Be nice to know before we bother wasting our time going down there over the bank holiday weekend.

Many thanks

Often depends on the sales assistant but not normally a problem, after all commission is commission

If they do specify that they are for a fridge, and the SA tries to stop you, I would ask for the manager and explain what has happened. If you still have a problem, I find managing to have tears rolling down your cheeks often helps (funnily enough it works better on women than men, but you never know!!)

If all this fails, I personally would get on the the phone and tell them that you had to buy a fridge as they took so long to sort it out, and could they change the vouchers to suit anything.
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare
  • DONT WORRY YOU CAN BUY ANYTHING YOU WANT .. THEY WONT ASK YOU ANYTHING !!

    Hope this helps
