Hi all,
Just putting this one out there really.
I'm currently unemployed.
I have been offered part time work (less than 16 hpw) but cannot attend due to this work program thing.
I need to improve my skills and have been offered p/t work to gain experience, so rather than writing speculative Cv's, I could actually be gaining experience which I lack! Just doesn't make sense.
Anyhoo, can I be excused from CV writing for this activity, 3 hours per day unpaid work.
Surely that' increasing my chances of finding work.

if you've been offered a job you don't need to do the work programme any more. Your CV was successful, surely thats it?0

If the hours are less than 16 I presume you will continue to sigh? If the hours clash then the WP must re-arrange their times. Yes you still need to do the course because the aim is to get you enough hours to close your claim for benefit. So, you still have to actively seek work and be available for interviews, courses etc. You need to declare the work and hours with JCP. The work programme provider can check the hours do also match.0
