Prepaid maestro cards - holiday question!

Hi everyone
I've just got myself a prepaid maestro card from bluecorner, it looks like a good deal because they have 0% exchange on cash machine withdraws while abroad.
My question is has anyone got one of these prepaid cards? I'm off to Cyprus in June and i'm just worried that it might not work in the cash points over there. Of course bluecorner says it will. I dont have any other options to get any other cards because i have a pretty bad credit rating.
Is maestro ok to use in the cash points in Cyprus?
Thanks

I found this on t'internet:
Credit Cards & Cash Point Machines
"The larger shops, businesses and restaurants will usually accept most major credit cards but you will likely be charged a small fortune in commission. There are many cash point machines all over the main towns in North Cyprus from which you can draw cash with all major credit cards as well as Switch, Maestro and the like. It is mainly a cash economy and if you’re making a large purchase you’ll get a better deal if you pay in cash."Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

have you considered the american express prepaid travellers card. like the old cheques but you can reload it or if you get stuck a friend or relative in Uk can reload it for you - no credit checks needed as prepay. will be accepted at many places abroad0
