Hello,

I hope to use this diary to sort my life out, i would like to be debt free and happy.

At the moment, im neither.

Long story cut short, goes something like this.

I have my own business, i have 2 young children - a long term partner that moved out last year but we haven't split. This situation is taking its toll and im drained.

I have also had debt for as long as i can remember and have spats where im really keen to get the debts paid, be as money saving as i can but this only lasts a short time. Im hoping to be in it for long haul this time.

My aim this year is to try and be strong and make the right decisions for my kids and i, get as much debt paid as i can and start to enjoy life and stop wondering what if.

I roughly have £1800 coming in and debts and bills come to roughly £1358 going out.

Leave £442 - divide that by 4 £110.50 a week for petrol, food and anything else, emergencys and stuff.

So pretty tight.

I know i need to cook more from scratch because that would really help get the weekly food budget down if i cooked properly more often. Im not the best cook, i can when i put my mind to it but tbh im usually not cooking from scratch.

I need to allow myself like x amount of fuel a week and once its gone, i have to wait till the next week. I get bored and just go shopping and spend money i havent got because i didn't want to stay at home all day.

Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated.
