They are already at duncrue, so not moving.
If they are closing Ballymena and moving it up to their main centre at Duncrue id say theres a pretty good chance that theyre moving it up to Duncrue

They're not moving it though are they? The Duncrue warehouse already exists so it's a transfer of clientele and staff, not the store.

That was exactly my point - though it seems to have washed over Dookies head.

If they were moving from Ballymena to Antrim, then that would be a move. Closing ballymena and pointing their customers towards Duncrue isnt a move.

Do we even know if any staff are moving? I suspect probably not.

The Tele says that 26 jobs will be lost between the two stores but 19 will be transferred from Ballymena to Duncrue.

A few coats on shaky hooks there I'd say.

No need for C&Cs any more. No shops...
All they're selling is stuff for fast food vans.
  • I joined Makro (by invitation no less, didn't I feel important!) when they opened in '93 and would have went every week, even if only for household stuff.

I gradually went less and less, sometimes not buying anything as the prices couldn't compete with the supermarkets.

Last year I got a letter to say if my card went 2 years without being used they would withdraw it, so I went and took another look around, but it was the same story.

Next time I will let it expire.
