So where did you hear about this offer, information is needed in order to get a CD. Mentioning a freebie site is probably not a good idea
- Your free Crash Course CD request must contain your full name, postal address and birth date, plus the website, magazine, newspaper, or other media where you first heard of this free CD offer. Requests without the full information stated above will not receive the CD.0 -

Don't hold your breath waiting for this.
Similar offers have been posted for the last 3 or 4 years.
I and many others have applied for them time and time again and have yet to see a single CD turn up.There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›(11)A104.28S94.98O112.46N86.73D101.02(12)J130.63F126.76M134.38A200.98M156.30J95.56J102.85A175.93

You should be okay with marillion - I've been a fan since the 80's and they are one of the most accessible bands to support. If you apply and don't get the CD, drop me a line and I'll email their manager- you'd get it in a few days then.
My wife and 10 and 12 year old daughters are also fans now and when we've taken them to gigs and found they can't see, the manager (Lucy Jordache) took the girls around the back to stand in the wings with the band's family!!
Great band, and great music - a new album out too at the mo....Regards

You'd have no problem mentioning this site as the referrer - Marillion were pioneers in using the internet as a way of providing access for their fans distributing their music.Regards

Or listen to the soundclips at marillion.com or myspace.com/marillion - if you like what you hear, go buy the new CD "Somewhere Else". Best £8 or £9 you'll spend this year.
General point - if you support artists by buying the CD, as opposed to stealing from them by using illegal filesharing, they'll be around to make more great music in the future. Small price to pay, really.0 -
I'm also a recent convert to Marillion. They have to be one of the most under-rated bands in the UK. It's odd how they never get enough media coverage here, yet they're huge elsewhere in Europe. Since Fish left they no longer sound like the Genesis clones the music press made them out to be. I think they've done about 14 albums to date, which is more than many other UK bands. The singer who replaced Fish, Steve Hogarth, also has a great voice and sings with real emotion. If you don't know Marillion, then have a listen to their tracks on myspace. I wouldn't categorise them as hard rock. Their music is mostly acoustic rock with gentle piano. Their new album "Somewhere Else" has had fairly good reviews. At times the album sounds a little like Radiohead (but not so depressing), with hints of Coldplay and Keane. Their last album "Marbles" is also excellent. This is a band who are today comparable to Pink Floyd. Their albums have often been based around a concept, with intelligent thought-provoking lyrics and experimental sound effects.0

This is a genuine offer. I applied for one of these a couple of years back - it arrived.
Great band - I'd recommend the recent "Marbles" double album, rather than the latest one. It's all a matter of taste.
101cd.com have the new album on sale for 8.95 (free postage) and you get some moneyback via quidco. I guess if you buy direct from marillion.com, at least you know it goes direct to the band - not a greedy record co.0 -
Liked Marillion since 1985, when boyf at the time, boyf's sister and boyf's dad were massive fans! Applied for this CD around about Christmas time, but never did receive itwhat goes around, comes around...........0

just drop an email to lucy(at)marillion.com telling her that it didn't arrive and mention this thread and I reckon you'll get one pretty quickly (although they are on tour at the moment in the middle of Europe!!)Regards
