Cotton school dresses needed

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me. I need to buy some new school dresses (the gingham ones) for my daughter as she has grown out of last year's. The only problem is that she has eczema and so can only wear cotton. I've always been able to buy cotton ones in the past but now every shop I've been in (M&S, Asda, tesco, Matalan, Ethel Austins etc) are only stocking polyester ones. Anyone any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks

I bought yellow check cotton ones from the Matalan Clearance store near me for £1. They had the polyester ones also £1. Not sure what other colours they had.0

In my asda they have cotton ones for £3.50 A-line button through with tie belt they are really lovely0

I'm getting them for my daughter from Ebay, LL - I really liked the pretty ones we got from Asda last year but because our school uniform is green and white, the green gingham dresses are like hens' teeth round here. The nearest Asda doesn't stock ANY green ones at all, let alone in the same style, so I've been keeping my eyes open and have so far got lucky with two in excellent condition. A quick ASQ to the seller will confirm what it says on the label, and I just open the parcel and shove 'em straight in the washing machine. Daughter's absolutely thrilled, she loves going to school in her pretty dresses!0

What colour/size do you need? I have a couple of pale blue/white ones tucked away in a cupboard for a car boot, in excellent condition, and I'm pretty sure they are cotton. They are age 8-10. Pm me if they are any good and I'll dig them out and check.:j Morecambe FC, Conference Play Off Winners 2007

Try your local charity shops as these dresses are rarely worn out and I see loads of them around my area in charity shops. I think m&s stock cotton ones. Also stock up in August/ September that's when the shops mark them down, bung them in the wardrobe and forget until next April! BHS are good for this but not sure if cotton or not.0

Thanks Urshiem, will send you a pm. It's the pale blue/white ones I'm after. Our Asda doesn't seem to have the A line ones mentioned. We don't have a BHS but I'll see if they have anything on the website.0

Don't know if this helps but there's a seller on ebay selling only the dresses you want.........http://stores.ebay.co.uk/100-percent-pure-cotton
Alternatively woolworths usually do a buy 1 get 1 half price on their dresses and I know I've bought 100% cotton ones there before.Smokefree since 27-9-20070 -

Ask them to do you a branch transfer. It doesn't cost anything. They ring head office to see which stores in the country have them and will ring that store and get them sent to your local one.
They'll do this with any George item, not just uniforms.Illegitimi non carborundum.0 -
If you look at the George-Asda schoolwear website there don't seem to be any dresses it seems to be Shirts or Polo Shirts only, I don't know if this would change for summer or simply fewer schools have dresses for uniform. We have weather as if it was summer at the moment and we are only in spring now.0
