Help and advice appreciated

Hi, My husband and I have finally admitted defeat - we are in way way way over our heads - so bad that we can't actually afford to live. We have been living on our credit cards for months and months now. What is the best way to go from here? Should be apply for one of those IVA things or go through the Consumer credit counselling service? Any help would be much appreciated. :money:

Without an SOA we can't help too much so grab a pen and paper and make a start on everything based on Southernscouser's sticky at the top of the board for first timers.

Then we will be much more able to give you the benefit of our wisdom!

In any event, I suggest you contact CCCS or payplan etc to discuss the options - they will not judge you but will give advice as to the options that would be available for you to consider. They are very helpful, and many on here have used them for one thing or another with only good things to say about them.

Welcome to the boards though, you will get through this.

Grab a cuppa and start writing, you will get through this. It may take time but you didn't get into debt in a day and won't get out of it in a day. Like all good things it will be worth it in the end!

Good luck and well done for coming here!
