here's a good energy supplier
Hi All,
Just a small item to say that I have been with the Co-operative energy for a year now and am over the moon at my low fuel bills.I do recommend them if you are looking to switch.
They have reduced their electricity prices recently and can give the big boys a run for their money:j:j:j

I'd recommend people use a comparison site to find the cheapest price for their own individual situation.
There is no universal best supplier/tarrif. If there were we'd all be on it.

Even if you they are the cheapest supplier for you today, I would suggest you sign up to the new MSE energy club to keep regularly informed of any cheaper options - prices are changing all the time

But do remember that "good" or "best" doesn't necessarily always mean cheapest too.0

Agreed, but as a Fantastically Fervent MoneySaving Super Fan
it more often than not means cheap is good (unless I have a good reason to decide otherwise)
You can never have too much information to make an informed decision, the veracity of which of course needs to be verified.0 -
Yup. It all depends on your priorities. Mine are:
- Reliability of Service
- No Cancellation Fees
- Customer Service - Quick resolution to problems & preferably UK call centres
- Price of Tariff
I work within the voluntary sector, supporting vulnerable people to rebuild their lives.
I love my job0 -

1. Nothing to do with the company that bills you
2. Whats £30 here or there when switching can generate cashback of similar amounts
3 & 4 are certainly important, but saving say £300 for having to wait say 30 mins on the phone is more preferable to me than paying £300... unlkess of course you can earn £600+ an hour elsewhere
But I do realise I'm in the minority here on what is supposed to be a moneysaving site and wanting to save money.
In a recent MSE survey, I know the results were that the majority of those who voted did indeed want higher prices if it meant things were easier to understand... and that is exactly what we have now been given care of Ofgem.
Well done everybody! :T0
