VOA letter of rejection is the last straw

Today I have recieved a letter from the voa rejecting my application, I was told the valuation was done by square footage, I don't know where to turn, I'm trying to see if can paste my letter on here as the VOA have said I cannot appeal.
There are two pages which is written I'm sure to totally confuse me, and it has.

I rented a house which is the same if not slightly more in value and was a band lower. There are two house exactly the same in a lower band. I did the nationwide calc which put my house in band E. I have looked in the old newpapers but there were no house for sale in 91.

I am so desparate for help, I am not very good at composing letters to put my case accross, can anyone help me.

Can I appeal or do the online apllication.

All I did was to ring the VOA and asked them for a reduction, but I got the impression he was putting all the obsticals in the way on the phone and telling then the answer was no.

Has any got letters examples they post on here to help.

After listening to some of you who didn't give up, please help me, ideas on the letters or direction I should take would be fantasic, I am now so depressed and miserable.

Please help...

You say there were no houses for sale in 91 but did you check the year 90 & 92 to see if there were any sales during those years?

Remember the Nationwide calculator is only a very rough guide & hopelessly way out in many cases & the voa do not accept these kind of property price estimations when considering your claim.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

Thanks Cattie, yes, I looked on both sides, but today I have found out that houses that were built last year and have the same valutaion as ours are being banded E. Is that somthing I can use??

When I phone the first time to the VOA the guy then said our house was on the border line? Is it worth going for it agin using this new information??
