I've noticed the delivery charges from Ocado vary wildly where I live too. When I used a voucher the only delivery choices were £5.99 (I think) even though I wasn't fussed about day or time (and was spending way over £75!!!), but now when I log in they have 49p slots!
Sounds like the same as my daughter then.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -

Ocado in this area are terrible and no better than Tesco etc so you're not getting a better service for the high delivery charges. In this area ocado charges are very occasionally free but then they all seem to be £5.99 pretty much and it all seems very random. The last major hiccup before this one I didn't order for a while and they realised they had lost my custom and offered me 1/3 off a £60 shop so I used them again a few times, then the last time I ordered from them the delivery driver was extremely rude and kept calling to say he was thinking of just not turning up because he was having trouble finding our place, yet he didn't even want to hear any directions and then when we got the stuff several items were missing/damaged and they sent cases and cases worth of baby formula but all spread between various bags so we didn't notice it was there until the driver was long gone. I told them about it and they said I'd have to give it back with my next order, I explained to them after all the rigmarole I wasn't thinking of ordering again. They then started being really brusque and saying they were coming to collect the milk and we had better be in, no choice of date or time and then the first evening they didn't even show! We had no apology no nothing and they even did a customer service call a while ago and just wouldn't accept my reasons for no longer shopping with them. Xx0
