Hi.
Funny enough it was this site :T
I knew i had problems and was burrying my head in the sand then i started reading someones diary. Cannot remember who it was now but i was hooked and read all the way through. I was so inspired i thought it was time to do something which i have done and am hoping to pay my debts in 7 years.

I think mine happened a wee while back and probably cos I was up to the limit in my overdraft and credit card and had just taken out yet another loan with the aim of clearing both of those very debts. I then realised that I needed to do something about it and a colleague told me about this site and here I am... well on my way to seeing myself without debts!
:heartpuls CG :heartpulsEver wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.0 -
It was seeing how much debt people had got into (over on another money-saving board) which scared the life out of me and made me realise that I had to sort myself out.0

I started stealing the post.
Realised what a mess my parent's joint account and dad's credit cards were in. Came online, after having read the tips for a while and asked for help.
I didn't really have one for my debts - it was all health related and learning to drive which had to be done. And I don't regret a penny of it. It went 100 Watt in January though - clear clear clear

after seeing martin on a tonight program talking about bank charges I came onto the site, found his budget calculator put in my figures and realised I didn't make enough to cover my outgoings. As I'd never seen the figures written down like that before I got a shock. A few months beforehand I'd broken up with my partner who had lived with me so the household income had more than halved, I'd been carrying on living as normal, in fact more so as I was now free to go out with friends and enjoy myself....
well anyway long story short, got better job, cut down outgoings, learned to budget, paid off debts and then lived happily ever after
