Hello all,
We have recently got engaged & are planning our wedding for sept time 2014.
Can anyone suggest any venues for both ceremony & reception?
I am after the following:
A non church venue
A barn style-not a hotel chain
If poss with accommodation for guests or hotel
Bargain package!
I'm planning a shabby chic/vintage style wedding & proving our own flowers, cake etc..
I'd quite like to provide my own welcome reception, meal & toast drinks that represent us as a couple.
I'm googling away but it's an endless search (& money pit!!)
If apprichate any recommendations.
Thanks
Ness

try the farmers union to see if they know any farmers that would be willing to rent a barn for the evening. or ask local farmers as for the hotel accomodation thing in shabby chic don't know wedding are expensive best thing is to ask registar office to give list of recommend venues:kisses3: Married 29th September 20120

My sister got married at Doodingto Park Farm Hotel.
It was lovely, nice room for ceremony and barn for reception and celeih afterwards, very relaxed.
We decorated the barn with ivy, lavender and lights and it looked magical0 -
This website lists venues in a county by the 'style' of venue - there are a couple of barns listed
http://www.weddingvenues.com/search.php?venue_name=&city=&county=leicestershire&venue_type=Barn+%2F+Oasthouse+%2F+Farm
We found our wedding venue (also a barn!) by googling 'wedding venue, barn, and the county'
Best of luck with your search, I am sure you will find something beautiful!Expecting Baby No 1 - 20/06/14 - Team Yellow!0 -

Thanks Ognum, we have decided not to stay in the hotel as most people wanted to stay 2 nights and it worked out quite expensive, plus we would of overflowed in to another hotel anyway because of the numbers so we are staying in the raddison near by.
We are having a Celeidh too, not decided on the band yet though,Recently married and loving it x0 -
